Honey Simple Syrup

Two glasses of iced tea with lemon and mint beside a jar of ALSHIFA Acacia Honey

The easiest way to sweeten drinks, cocktails, tea, and desserts — no cooking required. This honey simple syrup stirs together in minutes and lets the pure flavor of ALSHIFA honey shine. Make it with any variety you love.

Yield: Makes as much as you need

Ingredients

  • 2 parts ALSHIFA honey (any variety)
  • 1 part warm water

Directions

  1. Warm the water until it's hot to the touch but not boiling (about 120–130°F).
  2. In a jar or bowl, combine 2 parts honey with 1 part warm water.
  3. Stir until the honey fully dissolves and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Let cool, then store in a sealed jar at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Keeps up to 4 weeks in the refrigerator.

Tip: Infuse your syrup by steeping aromatics in the warm mixture — rosemary, citrus peel, peppercorn, pomegranate seeds, or vanilla bean all work beautifully. Let it cool, then strain before using.

Choose your honey: Try it with any ALSHIFA honey — light Acacia for cocktails and iced tea, rich Sidr for warm drinks, or bold Black Forest for a deeper, malty syrup.

No cooking needed: Stirring honey into warm water instead of simmering it keeps the flavor and aroma intact — the way good honey should be enjoyed.
