Honey-Jalapeño Vinaigrette

Green salad with grilled chicken, tomatoes, and radish beside a jar of ALSHIFA Acacia Honey

Sweet, tangy, and with a gentle kick. This bright vinaigrette blends pure ALSHIFA Acacia honey with lime, cilantro, and fresh jalapeño — perfect over greens, grilled chicken, or a taco salad. It comes together in one blender in under five minutes.

Yield: Makes 3/4 cup

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon jalapeño pepper, coarsely chopped
  • 1 large garlic clove, quartered
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup ALSHIFA Acacia Honey
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil, such as canola

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine the vinegar, lime juice, cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
  2. With the blender running, slowly add the ALSHIFA honey, followed by the oil, until the vinaigrette is emulsified and creamy.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve right away or store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator.

Tip: For more heat, leave the jalapeño seeds in. For a milder dressing, remove them before blending. Keeps up to a week refrigerated — shake well before serving.
